What Client's Are Saying

We feel very lucky and blessed to have had Lauren as my doula. My husband and I both agree that she was an important part in helping me/us have such a positive birth experience. She has much experience and knowledge from her own life as well as from being a student midwife. She took time to explain more about labor positions and what is helpful for baby to descend. She gave me many helpful tips for during my pregnancy as well as labor, delivery, and postpartum. She was confident and a great leader, while also being caring, calm and supportive of what my husband and I needed. I appreciated her presence during my active labor, because she seemed to anticipate what I needed, was very in tune with my process, and was very proactive in preparing and being a part of whatever I needed next.  She took time to visit me at my home after our baby was born and gave me more helpful info in caring for my baby and myself. I highly recommend her!

WHAT IS A DOULA?

The word Doula means "a woman who serves." As a Doula, it is my desire and responsibility to help a mother stay strong and calm, give physical comfort measures, emotional support and help the mother get information she needs to make informed decisions during her labor and delivery. The birth experience is a memory a mother will carry for the rest of her life. I am here to help make this a sweet and memorable moment to all mothers who choose me as their Doula.

A DOULA DOES NOT:

Offer medical advice

Make decisions for a mother

Perform medical tasks

Provide treatment

Judge a mother's decisions

Pressure decision making

Abandon a laboring mother

Take the place of the spouse
